(Choreographer) Kirsten’s world premiere, national tour and regional credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel (Marguerite), Rocky Horror Show (Magenta), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbit), Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Cindy Lou), The Wild Party (Madelaine True), Last Easter (Joy), I Love You You’re Perfect, Now Change (Woman 1), Sweet Charity (Charity), The Baker’s Wife (Genevieve), Lulu (Lulu), and a lot of flops she’d rather not mention. Kirsten provided the singing voice of Pocahontas for Disney’s World on Ice, radio, and television, can be heard as Princess Daria in the animated feature Princess and the Pea, and is featured in the upcoming animated version of The Velveteen Rabbit. Kirsten and her husband Stan Chandler perform often as a team, and have headlined at Town Hall in New York and Disney Hall here in Los Angeles. They have also co-starred together in such productions as They’re Playing Our Song, Ragtime, Jacques Brel and Into the Woods. They have produced their own album (“A Quiet Thing”) and two wonderful sons (six-year-old Addie and two-year-old Tucker). Kirsten choreographs the musicals for both PV and Peninsula High Schools. Here at Palos Verdes High, Kirsten has choreographed Bat Boy, Footloose, and Urinetown. She is so proud of all these wonderful, talented kids… and honored to work beside the gifted Nicole Thompson.
